The inspiration for the shape of the tower was a pack of
cigarettes with several cigs sticking out at different heights.
that is all I know, saw it on the Discovery Channel.
The towers rock and sway with the wind to keep it from falling over in strong winds. I learned that when I went up in it for a visit. They sway about 6 inches in each direction. Also they have the fastest elevators in the world.
