At What Age Are Kids Old Enough To Do This?

My daughter really loves stuffed animals. Every time we go past the store in the mall where you can make your own stuffed bears my daughter is begging me to take her in and let her do this. How old do kids need to be to be able to do this? And to really appreciate it? I don't want to pay all the money for her to do this and then have the thing sitting around and not getting played with. She doesn't really play with her stuffed animals right now, so I am afraid this will happen once again.
