These days, retro fashions are very much in with the younger crowd. As far as they're concerned, the older something looks, the cooler it must be. I guess that's why so many manufacturers are now producing garments labeled "broken in" or "distressed" — and why those particular items fly off the shelves. The retro fashion has even extended to formal wear, which is why vintage prom dresses are so popular right now. Back when I was in school, all the girls fought to get the very latest Jessica McClintock gowns, which had a very modern, trendy look. But I bet I'd see very few people dressed like that if I walked into a high school dance today. I'm sure most of the kids would be decked out in vintage prom dresses instead.
