Both front and rear projection TVs come with their own set of pros and cons. Rear projection TVs are easy to maintain and relatively cheap as compared to front projection TVs. Often regarded as a one-time purchase, rear projection TVs are easily available in electronic shops and involve a very simple installation process. A rear projection TV may not be a good choice if the movies you watch carry those annoying horizontal black bars, as prolonged use of rear projection tv with such bars may result in malfunction and high repair costs. In such cases, front projection TVs would be a good option. Front projection TVs can create a theater-like experience if you have plenty of viewing space in the room.
